Overall Aim: 

 

The New Consultant Induction Programme is an integral part of the Consultant learning and development process and is intended to ensure that all newly appointed Consultants, both internal and external, receive training appropriate to their role.

 

Background: 

 

This programme has been designed to help new Consultants and other staff groups to become acquainted with their new work environment. The purpose is to ensure they have sufficient information, knowledge and support to enable them to undertake their new role effectively. The programme is designed to offer a package of support which includes the practical/ process elements of their role and development.

The programme is open to all Consultants and other staff groups as indicated below who wish to develop their skills and knowledge.

These vary per session as each has been tailored for the staff group.

Consultants (including Locum) can access all sessions

Junior doctors, Group Support Managers, Group Managers  Matrons and Senior Sisters can access some sessions please check below.
