Overall Aim: 

 

Faculty Development Simulation-Based Train the Trainers Programme

The 2 day programme is aimed at developing new facilitators skilled in delivering high fidelity simulation-based training.

On completing the programme all participants will be expected to join the Faculty and support a minimum of 4 simulation training days per year.

 

Learning Outcomes: 

 

Participants will develop an understanding of:

  • Human factors and their impact on patient safety;
  • How to design, script and run simulation scenarios;
  • Effective team work;
  • Advanced observational skills and de-briefing techniques;
  • Enhancing learning in a non-threatening environment.

 

Participants: 

 

The programme is suitable for staff involved in training from all professions – Doctors, Nurses, Midwives and Allied Health Professionals (ACP).

 

Duration: 

 

2 days.
