The Clinical Skills Centre - Birmingham Heartlands Hospital Education Centre

This is a purpose built facility replicating a clinical ward environment 8 bedded area with the opportunity to create different aspects of a clinical environment. Dedicated to clinical skills teaching and practice by undergraduate and post graduate Medical and Nursing staff. Courses can utilise the whole facility or it can be divided into smaller clinical areas to facilitate small or larger group teaching. Audiovisual equipment, including plasma screen, allows Powerpoint/video interaction with trainees within the clinical skills environment.

The centre has an Anatomy Licence issued by Human Tissue Authority (HTA) holding a ‘wet’ license the centre hosts a number of courses in conjunction with external bodies and internal staff. The courses allow practitioners to have hands on experience of surgical skills/techniques using tissue specifically sourced for training.

A clinical Prep room is available to facilitate the preparation of both human and animal anatomical specimens.

Clinical Skills Room 1

Replicating a clinical ward environment 4 bedded area with the opportunity to create different aspects of a clinical environment. Dedicated to clinical skills teaching and practice by undergraduate and post graduate Medical and Nursing staff. There is stackable seating for 20 people   Audiovisual equipment, including plasma screen, allows Powerpoint/video interaction with trainees within the clinical skills environment

Clinical Skills Rooms - Good Hope Hospital Education Centre

Two, 2 bedded clinical skills rooms and a separate clinical skills Lab provide a flexible approach for larger and smaller groups of trainees. Audiovisual equipment, including plasma screen, allows Powerpoint/video interaction with trainees within the clinical skills environment.

Clinical Skills Room 2 This is a small room dedicated to clinical skills teaching and practice by undergraduate and post graduate Medical and Nursing staff. This facility is mainly used for part task teaching ie Venepuncture/Cannulation.  Audiovisual equipment, including plasma screen, allows Powerpoint/video

Clinical Skills Room - Solihull Hospital

Replicating clinical ward environment Solihull clinical skills is a 5 bedded area with the opportunity to create different aspects of a clinical environment. Dedicated to clinical skills teaching and practice by undergraduate and post graduate Medical and Nursing staff. Courses can utilise the whole facility or it can be divided into smaller clinical areas to facilitate small or larger group teaching.
